Final project of undergraduate study. Taking the brief, producing a spiritual building along Hope St. in Liverpool, I designed a mosque for the city. The concept looked at how, within the confines of the plot, a landmark building of faith could be produced to reflect the other two that exist at either end of this street. The design took into account the necessary requirements of the faith during prayer, but also taking account of a further extension of this with its ability to take people in over night and provide a large space for catering for a large number of people during religious events.
